The Kitten Destroyed my Lego Disney Castle

Our 7-month-old kitten is currently going through what I imagine is the cat equivalent to the terrible teenage years.  In the last week he has broken a picture frame, punctured a shampoo bottle with his teeth, destroyed a glass perfume bottle my husband brought home from his deployment to Saudi Arabia, and, as of yesterday, he committed the worst offense yet…

He destroyed my Lego Disney Castle.

Here it stands in its former glory.

He didn’t even have the decency to do it during the day.  My castle came crashing down at 5:30 am, startling me from my sleep.  All I can say is that he is lucky that I love him.  That castle took a week for me to build, and it took only seconds for him to destroy it.

As of right now my prized possession sits in a plastic tub.  I have no intention of rebuilding until the kitten mellows out.  If you ever needed a reason to adopt an older pet then let this post serve as that reason.  While I long for my girls to be young and healthy again there is something to be said for the gentle nature of a senior cat.

  1. I know exactly what you are going through! I have a 7 month old kitten as well and he is a nightmare 😂 I don’t know if I could be as forgiving if he did that to me, I have longed for that castle for too long… and it’s a lot more expensive than him! 😜 I hope the next time you build it is the last time 🤞😼

    1. I have forgiven the little stinker after a couple of trips to the vet this week. He developed Anterior Uveitis in his left eye on Tuesday (most likely due to trauma). I’m thinking he might have gotten some glass in his eye from the bottle he broke last week. My husband got my in-laws to chip in on that castle. I’m not telling them the cat broke it. We will be sure to fix it before they visit. 😋Hopefully both our kittens mellow out soon!

      1. Aww bless him 😢 I hope he’s okay! They worry you so much don’t they, even when it is usually their own fault 😂 Oh god no I wouldn’t tell them either! Yes so do I, then hopefully our display pieces will be safe! 😂😂😂
